(Daniel Eaton) A Sugar Ray album
(Alex Koshak) Hammertime (which I found is just Super Freak by Rick James with MC Hammer rapping)

Where and when are you playing at the UMS?
I'm playing at the Skylark Lounge July 28th at 10:00PM

How long has your band been together?
We have been together two years

What was your band's first live show/performance and what was memorable about it?
Our first live show was a show in Cheyenne, WY. It was a whole adventure and experience even making the journey to Wyoming let alone playing a show there. It was a lot of real rock star movie type moments. Kayla Marque also performed and that was an amazing moment to have shared the night with her!

What was the first album you purchased?
My first album must have been The Spice Girls!

Do you have any advice for new bands?
Never lose sight of the dream and the goal. As artists it's easy for us to be hard on ourselves. We are our own worst critics. Believe in your talent and potential and keep your riders close to you. Don't get so caught up that you lose the heart of the experience.

Besides your own band, who do you want to see at the UMS?
I can't wait to see Earthgang!!

Best past UMS experience?
I just love discovering all the cool new venues and spots around. I feel like I get to tour the city through the festival. You can discover great music, great people and life everywhere!

Do you have any tips for festival goers?
You can't see everything but prioritize your favorites and make sure you see who you really came for.

What's the best food people can find on Broadway during the festival?
I always love Sputnik. Denver Biscuit Co is always a win 'cause you can get the brunch and the late night slices at Fat Sully's. The ice cream place across from Buffalo Exchange is bomb as well.

Who is your all time favorite Denver band?
Besides ourselves? That's tough, there is so much amazing talent in the city I don't think I could pick one.

If you were behind the counter at Twist and Shout, what three albums would you recommend to our customers?
I would definitely recommend My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and A Kid Named Cudi.

Erin Stereo

Where and when are you playing at the UMS?
My official set is at Blue Ice on Saturday from 4-4:40 which is where I’ll be debuting a lot of my original music for the first time.  I’m also spinning two pop-ups including the Moon Magnet DJ party at 7:30 and the 303 Magazine ‘Green Room’ from 10-11:15. Then I’m off to my normal fourth Saturday night residency at Bar Standard until 2am.

How long has your band been together?
I’ve been DJ’ing for around 10 years and have been producing original music for nearly 2.

What was the first album you purchased?
The first albums I ever purchased with my own money (besides bargain bins) was a handful of tapes from Columbia House which included TLC, Brandy, Mariah Carey, Boys II Men and All 4 One.  But, the first music I remember having in my collection (thanks to my parents) were a few Beach Boys cassettes which I’ve always credited, in part, to helping develop my understanding of the interaction between melody and harmony at an early age. Brian Wilson is still one of my biggest idols and influences to this day.

Besides your own band- who do you want to see at the UMS?
Honestly, I just want to check out as many DJ’s, electronic artists and producers as possible.

Who is your all time favorite Denver band?
Rubedo, without a doubt.  I cry when I watch them perform and then I go home and practice.

If you were behind the counter at Twist and Shout, what three albums would you recommend to our customers?
Faithless: Sunday 8pm
Sage Francis: Personal Journals
Pink Floyd: Echoes Compilation
